What is the difference between Smooth Operator and Smooth Studio?
You may notice that the app icon and splash screen say "Smooth Studio" while our support articles, website, and documentation refer to the product as "Smooth Operator." Both names refer to the same application. Here is the quick explanation.
Smooth Operator = The Product
Smooth Operator is the name of our virtual camera operator tool. It is the product line, the brand, and what you will see in marketing, the App Store, and help articles.
Smooth Studio = The App
Smooth Studio is the name shown in the app UI — the splash screen, the menu bar (on Mac), and the About dialog. Think of it as the "in-app" name.
Why two names?
This is common in software. Just like Adobe Premiere Pro is the product but the app says "Premiere Pro," Smooth Operator is the product and Smooth Studio is what the app calls itself.
